(Be sure to scroll down past the photos for the full description of this auction)

Up for auction with NO RESERVE is a very fine Mid 18th Century Georgian Sterling Silver Sugar Castor or Large Pepper Pot.  The Pot is one of the earliest examples I have sold and is fully Hallmarked for the fine Period Silversmith Samuel Wood of London England and the Date Letter for 1746. Samuel Wood is a very fine and sought after Period Silversmith and the quality of this Castor is superb.  The Castor shows nice early Georgian Design and great signs of being completely Hand Made.  The lid also features finely Pierced and Etched designs. The Castor is a great size for display or actual use if you so choose, measuring approx 5-1/4" tall by 2" wide across the body with a nice weight of 88 grams.  The Castor is also in fine condition for the age with some minor denting throughout but no cracks or repairs.  I am sure this is quite a Rare example and examples like this do not come up for sale often, especially with no reserve !

PLEASE REVIEW PAYMENT AND RETURN POLICIES PRIOR TO BIDDING. BEST OF LUCK WITH THE AUCTIONS!   Mark your calendars this auction ends the Evening of Sunday April 20th.
