(Be sure to scroll down past the photos for the full description of this auction)

Up for auction with NO RESERVE is a Very Rare 18th Century Georgian English Sterling Silver Large Tea or Coffee Pot.  The Pot is one of the finest and earliest examples I have sold.  The Pot features amazing details and shows nice signs of being completely Hand Made and Hand Chased with great Repousse decorations throughout.  The Pot features fine details which you do not normally see and really set it above 95% of the Pots you would see including a fine Feathered Handle, a great Pineapple Figural Finial and and Spout designed to look like the Head of a Fish.  The Pot also features fine Hand Etched Family Armorials of a Knight on both sides and is certainly well worth looking into.  The Pot is fully Hallmarked as seen in the photos, the Maker's mark appears to be a unknown letter and then a W, I am sure someone could identify the Silversmith with some research, you can also clearly make out the Rampant Lion for Sterling, the Leopard Head for London and the Date Letter "r" for 1752.  The Pot is in very fine condition with no dents, cracks or damage.  It does appear someone has had it dipped and sprayed in the past so it would not tarnish, I am told this could be removed and then the patina would begin to develop in a few months if you do not want it so shiny.  The Pot is a nice large size measuring 9-1/2" tall by 7-1/4" long or 4-1/4" wide across the base and is thick Sterling Silver throughout weighing 919 grams.  I doubt many Pot of this early age and amazing quality come up for auction, especially selling without Reserve !

This is part of the largest Estate Treasures collection we have ever listed on eBay, spanning 4 Nights and totalling over 300 items, be sure to check all our other auctions and save huge with combined shipping.
