GAS PUMP Ketchup & Mustard Condiment Pumps Fitz and Floyd Omnibus OCI 1993 NOS

Condition  -  Ceramic body/plastic pump. Never used, never displayed. This piece is from the American Roadside collection, a handcrafted and handpainted ceramic line. Each piece shows some brushstrokes and color variation. These are not imperfections, but rather are part of the uniqueness of each piece and add to the rustic nature of the collection. When gas stations first arrived on the scene at the beginning of the 20th century, they were built to be aesthetically pleasing, an attractive place to stop and get your car serviced. Attendants were on hand to pump gas, wash your windows, and check your tire pressure. The gas pumps were also built to be artistic. This set of condiment dispensers commemorates that simpler time, when gas was only 7 3/10 cents per gallon and you could fill your tank for under a dollar. Each gas pump is bright yellow with a green bottom and deep blue sides. The black hose and grey nozzle fit into the side. One pump has a "K" on the bottom; the other has an "M". The plastic pump on the top of each gas pump is white. While these were originally intended for ketchup and mustard, they work equally well for soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, hand sanitizer, and more.
