16 Inches or 40.64 cm Cardas Litz Tonearm Rewire Kit With Ground, Clips, Tubes Golden Ratio Multi Strand Braided Wire 4X33 AWG

I find it best to slide the shrink tube over each wire and then solder the wire in the the cup just below the crimp area of the tube with as little solder as possible. Crimp the wire over the insulation on the wire and slide the shrink tube over the clip and heat shrink it onto the clip. Caution: Using too much solder wont allow you to slide the the tube over the clip. You can also shorten the clip if desired by breaking off the crimp portion leaving the cup, and repeating the above.

1. Cardas multi-strand wire set that is composed of their finest ultra pure, oxygen free copper, insulated with PTFE.

2. Five cartridge clips (only four are needed). The contact area of cartridge clips are flashed gold over nickel, and have a contact resistance of .01 ohms. They are are compression type clips fitting all modern round cartridge pin sizes

from .0492 inches / 1.20 mm to .0531 inches / 1.35 mm. components are RoHS Compliant lead free materials. 

3. Four color coded shrink tubes.

4. Also included in this kit is a 33AWG Served natural color Litz wire which can be used for ground if needed. This wire has a nylon wrap for strength, and each of the inner strands is insulated with polyester film. The overall diameter of this Litz wire is .012 inches or .3048 mm.

Each individual strand in a single multi strand conductor is coated with enamel which must be removed for tinning.

Consideration should also be given on how you will remove the PTFE insulation before your purchase. I have longer continuous lengths, listed, or sets available if you are interested for practice in stripping, or you require a longer lengths.

This Cardas 33 AWG wire comes in four color coded twisted wires: Red (right positive), White (left positive), Green (right ground) and Blue (left ground). I have a small piece of painters tape on each end of the wire set to keep it from unraveling.

There are no connectors or clips on either end of the wires.
