The RM01050S stator looks very different from many of the compatible OEM Honda XR/XL 350/500/600 stators. However, it will work perfectly to replace and upgrade these parts.
To duplicate OEM functionality connect the Red/Black wire (ignition source coil), and the White wire (lighting coil) to their respective wires on the bike's harness, and ground the Green wire to the frame. The Yellow and Red wires can be insulated and tied up, unused.
Between the Yellow and Red wires is another 100 Watt coil that is floated, or NOT grounded to the stator core. This coil can be used with a regulator/rectifier to charge a battery, or to drive additional lights, heated grips, or other electrical accessories. If you are running an additional light directly from this coil (AC current), make sure to use an additional AC regulator to protect this lighting circuit (our RM30Y15 regulator will work great!).
Battery condition is extremely important. No stator can work correctly with a bad or weak battery. Always fully charge your battery before performing any charging system tests or replacing parts. If there is any doubt, have the battery load tested or replaced.

Before installing your new stator
Our stator may use a different wire color code than your original. All of the wires are installed in the correct order; please do not change any of the wiring configurations. This stator is designed as a direct plug-in replacement and should be used as such. When bolting stator in, always use locking compound. If our stator includes a pickup coil, always make sure the air gap is correct upon installation; we suggest as close as possible no less than 0.010".
