For sale is an unusual English George III sterling tablespoon by maker TB, London, 1818-19. The piece is 8 1/2 inches long and weighs 48 grams. It has a rounded swaged drop, flared shoulders and downturned rounded handle. The handle front is decorated with bright-cut engraving. It is monogrammed “MEW” on the handle front. It is marked with a [TB] maker’s mark, a “V” journeyman’s mark and full London hallmarks for 1818-19.
Condition on the piece is good. There is just normal wear from use. A fine old serving spoon!
