East was a leading geneticist, and believed in eugenics as well.  He is famous for being involved in the early work of corn hybrids.   

In this book the author discusses various topics related to heredity in human beings, relating to intelligence, ethnicity, near kin, and more. A balanced mix of science and clear and interesting writing.
